Awesome, Giedre! Well I've had distributed stories that pretty much died instantly and didn't make me more than a few cents and then there were other stories which were not distributed which made me a lot. What Alan says is true: it's talent plus a ton of luck. I would say about 90% of my pieces get distribuetd and it doesn't make a difference if I self-publish or not. But again, distribution does not mean that your piece will be successful. You also have a higher chance of getting distributed if you don't publish meta content. Like posts about the platform, your earnings, your follower count etc. That drastically decreases your chances and might also kill other articles, but I haven't figured that one out yet. I avoid any kind of meta content.
