How To Not Absolutely Hate Other People

And how barking dogs and angry cats can help you

“I hate people!”

“Dogs are better than humans”

“Who needs friends if you can have a dog?”

Does any of this sound familiar to you? Perhaps you even agree wholeheartedly. Maybe you don’t only occasionally hate people, but instead, loathe the existence of other human beings every single day.

Harboring hate only hurts one person alone

And that person is you! But you know what, somehow this hate has its place and at times it is also understandable. We are all on edge right now, we are irritable and not always the friendliest version of ourselves. And this, of course, leaves ample room for friction wherever and whenever we go — be it our workplace, school, or home.

Sometimes we just need to feel that hate. And that’s okay as long as we are able to pull ourselves out of this emotional state.

But sometimes that is just not possible. Sometimes we are so deeply affected by our negative emotions for other people that it can spoil our entire day, if not our entire week. We might not dread the thought of going to work itself, but we might get an instant…
