My Adventures in (Koa) La La Land
The year I became an adult.
I recently wrote about my personal health nightmare (which, should you be interested, you can read about here). I went through all of this on the remote and wondrous continent of Oz. But penning my nightmare down got me thinking that while my adventures there had definitely a very bitter ending I actually did have a rather good time.
That was when I remembered my mothballed travel blog that had been lying dormant ever since I so abruptly left Australia. It was a Blogspot site hosted by Google so I had absolutely no idea whether it would still be online.
But there it was! Up and running, like a faithful, old dog waiting for the family to come home. It’s just that this blog waited for more than nine years for me to remember it. But better late than never!
I’m so happy that I’ve since been able to refresh my memories of my time in Australia as it was truly a memorable year and also the year I became an adult.
I know that I titled this article “my adventures”… well, maybe that word sounds slightly too exciting, but I did have some interesting encounters and learned some valuable life lessons.
